Gil is the primary currency used in-game and can be used to purchase equipment, food, glamours, mounts and housing; repair equipment as well as recover any lost items.
Players can earn Gil by engaging in quests, guildleves, dungeons, duty roulettes and working the challenge log. In addition, materials can also be sold back to other players to generate Gil.
