Single Sign-On (SSO) is an essential authentication technology that improves security and user convenience by facilitating access to several applications with a single sign-on. It minimizes the use of multiple passwords, decreasing phishing, credential stuffing, and insecure password risks. The organization is advantaged through enhanced IT efficiency, simplified identity management, and lower helpdesk costs. Yet, SSO may create security risks when one compromised credential provides blanket access. To limit exposure, companies must enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), employ session timeouts, and employ real-time security monitoring to catch and deter unauthorized access.
